The figure below illustrated the generic business processes supported by the eHealth Infrastructure. The processes are generic and can be used in telemedicine solutions.

The generic processes are processes are designed to support telemedicine solutions. Generic processes and functionalities are not specific to a particular component and can be used in any number of telemedicine solutions. They are like general purpose processes.

The main eHealth generic processes are

  • Plan Definition Management - Plan Definitions can be managed and administered by Clinical Administrators.

  • Care Plan management - Based on the Plan Definitions Care Managers can apply CarePlan to citizen and assign the Careplan to Care Team and/or clinicians.

  • Citizens can through Telemedicine Solutions submit measurements and questionnaire responses

The eHealth infrastructure can based on the submitted measurements and questionnaire responses perform validation of the submitted measurements and responses.

After successful validation, the eHealth infrastructure perform automated processing and perform calculations and triaging based preconfigured rules and the submitted measurements and responses. The automatic processing generes communications, task and notification to the Care Team and/or clinicians.

The eHealth infrastructure provides some supporting processes, such as Service, Support and Logistics. Where telemedicine solutions can use the Service, Support and Logistics functionality to order medical devices and services, and report problems.
